A selection of wonderful nonsense verses from a master of the genre. Lear is, as always, a joy to read, telling playful tales of walking tables and chairs, tophat-wearing sparrows, a Crumpetty Tree, and an overconfident pobble, among others. Leslie Brooke's marvelous illustrations only add to the magic of the verse. Strongly recommended for ages 6 to 96!
