Oliver Twist

Dickens' classic tale of a poor young orphan named Oliver Twist who undergoes arduous trials and tribulations on his way to a happier life. As a half starved child, Oliver is apprenticed to a coffin-maker, but a bad beating sends him running off to London. When he falls in with a company of thieves there, however, his troubles are compounded! Oliver meets a host of colorful characters along his way, and when an uncanny resemblance is observed between the boy and an old portrait, we begin to suspect that the mystery of his parentage may yet be uncovered.
