A millionaire’s pampered son, swept off a liner on the Grand Banks, is picked up by a crew of Gloucester fisherman and forced to live and work with them for months, thereby learning from these gruff but kindly men valuable lessons in manly conduct. An excellent story of character development as well as a vivid sketch of the life of the New England fishermen.
